Grind the oats in a food processor to obtain a coarsely ground oat flour. Set aside.
Tip the lentils and beans into a sieve set over the sink and press down firmly with a kitchen towel to remove all the moisture. Set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a pan add the onion and cook until golden brown. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together the cooked onion, 50 g ground oats, lentils, kidney beans, butternut, egg, garlic, and spices.
Add the contents of the sachet of KNORR Naturally Tasty Moroccan Chicken Recipe Mix.
Crush the mixture with a fork until well combined and smooth.
To make the burger patties, divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into patties. If the texture is too wet, add a little more oat flour to the mixture. Sprinkle the patties with oat flour on both sides.
Heat 15ml olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and cook the patties on each side for 4 to 5 minutes. Cover the patties with a lid while they’re cooking.
TIP: If you cook the patties in batches, make sure there is about a tablespoon of oil in the pan every time you start a new batch.
When all the patties are cooked, toast the burger buns, add the patties and top with lettuce, tomato and red onion rings.
Combine the parsley and chives with the mayonnaise and serve with the burgers.
